Two fields, one mentorship
Philosophy and debate — the same elite, personalised, flexible one-on-one mentorship.
Every aspect — session frequency, duration, learning objectives, assignments and pace — is tailored to the individual student. Some meet weekly, others only before competitions or important academic milestones.
How the mentorship works
The mentorship adapts to the student — not the other way around.
Sessions typically combine discussion, guided questioning, practical exercises, writing or speaking tasks, detailed feedback and independent work between meetings. Rather than simply providing answers, the mentorship challenges students to ask better questions, develop original ideas and become increasingly independent learners.
There is no predetermined curriculum. Every session is individually prepared and adapted to the student's progress and needs.
- 01
Introductory conversation
Every student begins with a conversation about interests, strengths, ambitions, previous experience and long-term goals.
- 02
A personalised plan
Together we develop a mentorship plan that remains flexible throughout the programme — in objectives, frequency, duration and pace.
- 03
Mentorship that evolves
As students grow, discover new interests or pursue new opportunities, the mentorship evolves with them.
What makes this different
Every mentorship includes
- A fully personalised learning programme.
- Individual one-on-one online sessions.
- Flexible scheduling that adapts to school and extracurricular commitments.
- Detailed written and verbal feedback.
- Personalised reading recommendations and learning resources.
- Individual assignments designed specifically for each student.
- Ongoing support between sessions whenever guidance is needed.
- Long-term academic mentoring rather than isolated tutoring sessions.
The goal is not simply to complete assignments or prepare for the next competition, but to develop the habits, skills and confidence of an independent thinker.
Who is this for
Students who want to
- Challenge themselves intellectually.
- Learn beyond the school curriculum.
- Prepare for ambitious academic opportunities.
- Receive individual guidance unavailable in traditional classrooms.
- Develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning and persuasive communication.
- Work with an internationally recognised mentor through a completely personalised programme.
Students join for many different reasons — some for a few intensive sessions before an important event, others for long-term mentorship that accompanies them throughout several years of their academic journey.
Philosophy
Explore philosophy. Cultivate thinking. Articulate original ideas.
Every mentorship is completely personalised. Some students join because they want to explore philosophy out of curiosity. Others prepare for highly competitive academic opportunities such as the International Philosophy Olympiad, university admissions, essay competitions or research projects. Many combine several of these goals.
There is no fixed curriculum. Together, we design a learning journey around the student's interests, ambitions and current projects.
Explore philosophy
- Discuss philosophical questions that genuinely interest you, and read and analyse classic and contemporary philosophical texts.
- Explore ethics, political philosophy, epistemology, metaphysics, aesthetics, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind and many other fields.
- Connect philosophy with psychology, economics, politics, literature, history, artificial intelligence, popular culture and current events.
Stronger philosophical thinking and communication
- Learn to analyse arguments critically.
- Build original philosophical positions.
- Write sophisticated philosophical essays and improve academic writing style and structure.
- Learn how philosophers construct, defend and challenge ideas, and practise philosophical dialogue and discussion.
Guidance on specific academic goals
- International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO) preparation and national philosophy competitions.
- IB Philosophy, other school philosophy courses, school philosophy projects and essays.
- University admissions, personal statements and preparation for university courses.
- Academic essay competitions, independent research projects and publishing articles.
Every project receives detailed individual feedback, discussion, revision and strategic guidance. Whether the goal is intellectual exploration, academic excellence or preparation for a specific opportunity, the mentorship adapts to the student.
Mr. Andrič has served on the Executive Board of the International Philosophy Olympiad since 2022, helping oversee the organisation and academic standards of the world's most prestigious philosophy competition. In 2020 and 2021 he was responsible for organising the Olympiad, and between 2015 and 2020 he mentored several students who went on to win medals at the IPO.
Debate
Think strategically. Debate persuasively. Lead with confidence.
Debate is not simply about speaking well or winning arguments. It is about learning how to analyse complex issues, construct persuasive reasoning, respond strategically under pressure, and communicate with confidence and intellectual integrity.
Some students prepare for national or international competitions. Others want to become stronger public speakers, improve their critical thinking, prepare for university interviews, or simply become more confident communicators. There is no fixed curriculum: together we design a training programme around experience, ambitions, competition format and individual objectives.

- Persuasive communication, public speaking and presentation skills.
- Leadership communication and interview preparation.

For more than fifteen years he has worked with students, teachers, coaches, universities and educational institutions in over forty countries, becoming one of the leading international specialists in critical thinking, argumentation, philosophy and competitive debate.
His career uniquely combines academic philosophy, elite competition coaching, curriculum design, teacher education and international educational leadership. His international engagements include keynote lectures on economic fairness and discussions alongside internationally renowned thinkers such as Noam Chomsky and Michael Sandel.

Testimonials
In the words of students and parents
Students and parents from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America describe what the mentorship changed for them — in competitions, in university applications and, above all, in how they think.
Philosophy
“Working with Mr. Andrič was a turning point in my academic journey. Over two years, he guided me from basic curiosity to competing in the National Philosophy Olympiad. More than that, I was able to write and publish my first philosophy research paper, which became a key part of my university application. His mentorship pushed me to think critically, write with clarity, and pursue ideas I once thought were out of reach. I loved the flexibility of the schedule and his mentorship through philosophy and everyday life.”
“Philosophy was always something I enjoyed reading, and working with Mr. Andrič turned it into something I could challenge the world with. Together, we explored bold and even controversial ideas, crafting essays that were both thought-provoking and unconventional. Competing at the International Philosophy Olympiad, and winning a medal, was not just a competition, it was an adventure in thinking differently. I had a great philosophy teacher in school, but would never be able to win a medal without Mr. Andrič's guidance and feedback.”
“My son Dan has always had his ideas about philosophy and politics, but Mr. Andrič taught him how to shape them into arguments the public could understand. With his support, he has published a column in a national newspaper, analysing contemporary politics through philosophical lenses. The experience gave him a new level of confidence in expressing complex ideas clearly and persuasively. It was amazing to connect philosophy to everyday life, movies, books and science, and prepare him for his study of philosophy at university level.”
Debate
“My daughter had already been debating for several years, but she needed someone who could help her reach the next level, help her transition to different formats and guide her in the complex national and international debate landscape. Mr. Andrič immediately recognised both her strengths and the areas where she needed to improve. Every session was carefully prepared, with detailed feedback, practice debates, and strategic exercises tailored specifically to her competition goals. Beyond the tournament results, I watched her become more confident, more independent in her thinking, and far more articulate in expressing her ideas.”
“Before working with Mr. Andrič, I knew how to debate, but I didn't know how to think strategically. He completely changed the way I approached motions, showing me how to identify the real clash, build persuasive arguments, and adapt during the debate rather than relying on prepared speeches. Every session challenged me to think one step further. Winning an international tournament was an incredible achievement, but the greatest lesson was learning how to analyse problems from multiple perspectives and remain confident under pressure.”
“Debate with Mr. Andrič was never about memorising arguments. It was about learning how to think. Every discussion forced me to question my assumptions, explain my reasoning, and defend my ideas with evidence and logic. Over time I became a far more confident debater, but only at university level did I realise how much preparing for debate competitions with Mr. Andrič had helped me grow. The communication skills and intellectual confidence I gained have become valuable in every aspect of my education.”
